One of Ronald Reagan’s favorites that will give you the tools you need to understand and explain economic policy:

The Law” by Frederic Bastiat

This book will help you understand the role of the government and how to argue against wealth redistribution and attacks on personal liberty.

For those of you who aspire to venture into the world of politics either directly or indirectly I recommend you start off by reading a couple books, Try these for starters to learn the enemy’s tactics:
